Shurre

A shurre is thought by natural philosophers to be closely related to bats. About three feet long from the tip of the head to the end of the tail with a wingspan of about eight feet, the shurre is covered with a thick, short coat of fur, except for its wings and the interior of its large ears. Its fur color ranges among dark brown, brown, tan, off white, and tawny. Hunting and habitat encroachment by humans and other humanlikes have pushed the shurre into the wildest of forests in Pytharnia and the great reaches of Asdauria. Shurres have been domesticated by the Uryala Gnomes of Pytharnia who use them as mounts in their woodland homes.
