Tanikos Island is one of several islands resting in the Thykomian Archipelago, just south of Ardné Island. Ithatian humans comprise the principal occupants of the island in several fishing villages and trade depots. The tritons visit the island infrequently for trade and the triton chief city of Glasppa rests under sea to the northwest of Tanikos. The island is part of the Aurician Empire. Of the smaller islands of the archipelago, Tanikos is more populated, possibly due to its proximity to the largest islands of Ardné and Imomólë.
