Tsarokwatha Isle
Tsarokwatha Isle is the largest island among numerous islands of the Sea of the Dead Gods which is part of the West Turtle Sea and culturally part of Zephasia and Old Zephasia. The island is part of the territory of Benjalay. Bahunan Fishfolk used to occupy it in deep antiquity until the arrival of ancient humans, largely of old Zephasian stock, drove them out and settled it. Although well-inhabited with humans, many of the wooded wilds of the island are littered with the crumbling shrines of the fishfolk especially towards the center of the island. The southwestern coast of the island forms part of the northeastern edge of the Sundered Sea. Tropical vegetation, farms, and human settlements cover the island. The largest city is Thebnutsir which is the local capital of the island under the dominion of Benjalay. The town of Pasgag is also an important human settlement. The island is an important secondary trade site for shipping. Fishing, timbering, spice trade, and numerous crafts are important components of the local economy. The largest foreign cities to the island are the independent human city of Zimbaddi and the fishfolk city of Bohktuh Yure on Fishfolk Island. The island is also inhabited with several autonomous villages of the Tekmyri, the turtlefolk.
