Vortifex

The vortifex is the development of the Titancraft Rotary Panstream Engine used for flight. T'u'akhav the Crafty of Sardeichs developed it in 2506. For the next fifty years, it was not employed well for skycraft as its great weight made it impractical. It was added to some skycraft for propulsion, but the lack of an equally amazing lift system meant that it would remain unexploited until the invention of the meteorisis chamber.
