Archmagian Period is the historic time of the rule of Bexaloth Archmage of the Infinite Elements of Eternal Chaos or roughly the twenty third century in Asbardy and especially Bryndyd. The more geographically narrow historical period called Argchmagian Bryndyd is part of the Archmagian Period. It ended abruptly with the Seventh Isbajath.
During this period, the observance of chaos cults and the practice of chaos magic was widespread and deeply entrenched. The period came abruptly to an end with the final conclusion of the Seventh Isbajath. The period is known for its particularly baroque costumes which are touched upon in the Tintamburel Tapestry and brightly colored architecture. Despite the Archmage's association with Chaos, modern historians have determined that he applied a highly organized system of governance, trade, and taxation to his dominion.
