Gumoa is an autonomous city-state on the southeastern coast of the island of Ptohlia. It is in name a republic ruled by powerful merchants. Most of these merchants are employees of the Gonfalese Sea Princes so politically the city is regarded as a colony of the Principality of Gonfaloy.
Gumoa is haven for Gonfalese pirates. With the city's direct access to the Sea of Malankhas, Gumoa is enriched by sea trade between the Pallathantic-Memnosian Region and Zephasia. Gonfaloy is generally a safe harbor for larger merchants from the Pallathantic and Zephasia.
