Duchy of Desthor

The Duchy of Desthor is an island on the west coast of Corundy and has been traditionally considered part of Corundy, although it is culturally tied to Ithatia. The Duchy of Desthor is ruled by a hereditary duke from the city of Desthorion. The duchy includes the great island of Desthor, the island of Emprodesthor, and numerous smaller islets. The principle language is Ithatian and the state religion is Arathracianism. The duchy is a member of the Commonwealth of Arathracian States and the League of Corundy.
Chronology of Desthor
- 2536: Desthor under the power of Thrace by the conqueror, Khabur
- 2556: End of Third Geddamin War, Desthor under Gorcorumbese Empire.
- 2586: End of Fifth Geddamin War, Desthor remains under Gorcorumbese Empire.
- 2612: Desthor and Emprodesthor declare independence from the Gorcorumbese Empire and become part of the Republic of Ithatia
- 2671: Powerful family and merchants cause Desthor and Emprodesthor to secede from the Republic of Ithatia, probably under the influence of the Aurician Empire
- 2747: Duchy joins the League of Corundy
