Book of Locks and Claves

Providing the words for fundamental spells, a Book of Locks and Claves builds upon the principles first apprehended in a Book of Primes and Orals. The study of Gnomata is typically concurrent with the study of Locks and Claves, although some wizarding schools only teach Locks and Claves and never give instructions in the gnomata. Locks and claves are considered 'ready-to-use' versions of gnomata and were designed over the centuries in academic settings to instruct acolytes in wizardcraft as quickly as possible with a goal to practical spellcraft rather than theory or innovation.
