The large Sungotine Sea rests between Sungo and Opaz.

The Sungotine Sea is a great body of water in the far east, resting between Sungo and Opaz and is considered part of the greater Shimehaz Ocean. The waters are prone to thunderstorms and cyclonic storms. The Sungotine Sea includes the Buthyrian Channel, the Sea of Five Lands, the Purple Sea, the Silver Pearl Sea, the Bay of Aligamumu, the Bay of Mo Pirithay, and the Po Hsem Sound which leads into the greater Shimehaz Ocean. By means of the Strait of Opaz, sea merchants can access the Kastubian Sea, the Turtle Sea, and Za-Bahuna.

The Sungotine Sea is larger than the Pallathantic Sea and is filled with numerous islands.

The Sungotine Sea is rich in sea traffic among numerous countries of the far east, including Tangshan, Juranica, the Opazite Empire, Dzo Lan, Lyang Shwai, the Empire of Sungo, Thuvahsa, Wenjobia, and Shagona-Lah. Sea traffic from the empires of the New World are not unknown, having voyaged across the great Shimehaz Ocean. The navies of the Empire of Sungo and the Opazite Empire patrol the sea, hugging the coasts of their homelands and provide some relief from piracy. The Common Giants of Juranica ply the Sungotine Sea with great ships, but prefer landborne commerce. Today most seaborne trade from the West arrives by way of the Turtle Sea, crossing through the Grand Canal of Benjalay.
