Rhiony

Rhiony is a land in Corundy that lies west of the Vimalian Plateau and the Thugad Mountains. Its landscape is dominated by the relatively large Lake Shallynaffe. Rhiony is the namesake of the Free Republic of Rhiony. The capital is Babirrhoksha and the principal language is Shardanian, a Jathya-Dhumi language related to Jaithan and descended from ancient Jathiyati. The name Rhiony comes from the god, Rhio, who, according to the principal of Interpretatio Isxinthiona, was considered equivalent to the Jathya-Dhumi god, Babirrha, the ancient god of wine.
The climate of Rhiony is generally mild, similar to that of central Italy on Earth. Rolling hills and iconic Bimbhari Trees are features of its landscape. Its largest wooded areas are the Bakha Sora Forest and the Rhionite Woods.
