Skerrod is a large island to the east of Barathorn in the Pytharnian Sea. It is considered culturally part of Barathorn. Skerrod has a temperate climate to the south and a nordic climate to the north where it is riven by numerous fjords and inlets carved during the age of ice and fire. The island is separated from Barathorn by the Skerrodese Channel. Its largest neighboring islands are Tula Dovak Island and Zerik Island. Wonderrock Sound to the north separates the island from Midrardia, especially the country of Borondur.
The island has never been unified under a single, local government, although it has been subject to several different empires in its history.
