Shardanian refers to the ethnic people of central western Corundy who are of pre-Gwenyan, Jathya-Dhumi stock. Shardanian can also mean the Shardanian Language spoken by these people. The Free Republic of Rhiony is inhabited by almost exclusively Shardanians. Shardanians are ethnic minorities in countries around Lake Shallynaffe, specifically Omfluny, Numiria, Tiomairie, and Smiago. The term Rhionian refers to citizens of the Free Republic of Rhiony and is sometimes used loosely as a synonym for Shardanian.
