Waters of Tjur
The Waters of Tjur is the name of the great inland sea in eastern Disradún. It rests between Eurithia to the northeast and Kishira to the south. The forests Atchaddis Plains hug its eastern shores. The Waters of Tjur rest on a rather large plateau and the body of water is hedged in tightly along its northwestern shore by the precipitous boundary of the plateau. At 8.61 DF or 1083.6 gnödva (1387m or 4550ft) above sea level, it is one of the highest inland bodies of water in elevation and by far the largest of any body of water of equal or greater elevation. As it rests in an endorheic basin, there are several river systems in the south which drain into it, including the Sianchas River. Its southwestern shores are met with wetlands. The climate of the sea and its shores is tropical and semi-tropical. The capital city of Khumras is on its western shore.
The Waters of Tjur are famously the source of the Esdekhel River. The first segment of the Esdekhel River is fed by a channel from the northwestern shore of the Waters of Tjur which drain by a waterfall into the lake known as the Nursemaid of Esdekhel that rests at a lower elevation than the Waters of Tjur.
The Waters of Tjur and its shoreline are the home of gishak, axmandel, hyrseka, lizardfolk, marsh ogres, beastfolk, and quirth.
