The Sultanate of Azzabboon rests along the eastern shore of the Bay of Shelekhumbia in the Memnosian Sea. The capital, Zamzafara, is one of the great cities of the Pallathantic Region, and commands the mouth of the Thybdis River. Zamzafara in recent centuries has striven as a rival with Aurice for command of trade routes to the East. The majority of people in Azzabboon are of Thybdite Tribal origin (Gwenyan) and Imzaami Religion. They speak the Azzabbonch Language and are ethnic Azzabbonch.

The Sultanate of Azzabboon is neighbors with Tinchozzo, Rhovundy, Khalimoz, Bihirbespa, and Beph-Themesh. Its capital city, Zamzafara, controls access to the Thybdis River.

The Sultanate was created subsequent to the Congress of Bryndyd which oversaw the dismantling of much of the Gorcorumbese Empire after the Fifth Geddamin War. The Sultanate is sometimes defensive allies with Beph-Themesh, Tinchozzo, and Rhovundy against the Adamantine Kingdoms of Khalimoz and Bihirbespa. The Sultanate is also political allies with Ogdesiana against Beph-Themesh. The Sultanate tries to maintain good relations with Rhovundy, Rhovania, Turgosia, and Axophotia to ensure safety for its merchants on the Great Silk Highway. The Sultanate also controls the Spur of the Adamantines which puts it at odds with the Adamantine Kingdom of Khalimoz which considers these mountains its own territory.

Competition with Aurice

Azzabboon competes with the Aurician Empire for trade with the East. Its capital city, Zamzafara, controls access from the Memnosian Sea to the mighty Thybdis River which offers a navigable route well into Eloaria, much farther than the Ibrew River which serves Aurice. Indeed, Zamzafara is the western terminus of the Great Silk Highway. However, unlike Aurice, Zamzafara rests on the mainland and has historically been vulnerable to warlords attacking from the steppes, from the Adamantine Mountains, and from Shelekhumbia to the south. The fortunes of Zamzafara have historically waxed and waned with vicissitudes of conquest followed by periods of prosperity. Today, Zamzafara is a growing emporium for merchants voyaging along the Great Silk Highway. The Sultanate seeks and tries to maintain trade ties with other major states of the Greater Pallathantic Region, including Medibgö, the Empire of Magdala, Asbardy, the Republic of Ithatia, several states of Barathorn, and Amzerzcelindo, hoping to lure their merchants to the east through Zamzafara along the Great Silk Highway.
