Brandolphi
Brandolphi is the capital city of the independent Duchy of Ferruvicar and rests in the Brandolphine Harbor in the Bay of Ferruvicar. The Duchy of Ferruvicar is in the southeasternmost part of Corundy and is a member state of the League of Corundy. Brandolphi enjoys a moderate to warm Mediterranean climate. The spoken language is Ferruvicarese.
It is an important coastal city with access to eastern Memnosian Sea, eastern Corundy, and serves as a trade link between goods shipped through the Thybdis River and the southern lands of Corundy and Lucacia. Despite its location, Brandolphi is surrounded by numerous small mountain ranges that have historically both served to isolate the city and protect it. Brandolphi is sometimes used as a staging point for expeditions into the Blackfire Hills.
Titancraft production and maintenance are an important element of the industry of Brandolphi. Corpora Mercia include Rodolfeo Enginery. It has tremendous trade with the Aurician Empire which it both needs and fears. Brandolphi is served by at least two dragonrail lines. Merchandise brought and sent via the Thybdis River is sometimes circumvented around the costlier cities of Gar-Gedden and Tinchozzo by means of Dragonrail from Skardana through Brandolphi. Brandolphi enjoys air trade with the jaibu Tapsil.
City Sites
History
The ancient Kalamans record that the site of Brandolphi was the ancient site of the city Ganam Kurakula.
The site prior to later Brandolphi became subdued into the Midretassene Empire as part of the Tritigosto Campaigns.
While Brandolphi never came under the direct rule of Omandral Sorcerer King, it remained under his influence during his reign, 1276 to 1287.
In the Middle Ages of Chaos, Brandolphi was the scene of the disastrous campaign known as Ambrew's Isbajath, (2251 to 2254). Ambrew Shehudril betrayed the Isbajuma and Izruul Demonfriend was sustained in his rule until 2254.
Brandolphi was independent during the time of the Medibgösk Empire, ca. 2505. However later in the 2500's, Brandolphi was conquered and incorporated into the Gorcorumbese Empire.
Brandolphi was liberated in the Fifth Geddamin War along with all the other lands along the coast of the eastern Memnosian Sea.
