The Mathareusan Sea is a large body of water lying between [[Barathorn]] and northern [[Orrhymby]]. Considered part of the greater [[Askonian Ocean]], the Mathareusan Sea is prone to cycylonic storms in late spring and early autumn. It provides sea access between the waters of the [[Pytharnian Sea]] and the [[Pallathantic Sea]] to the [[Boreal Sea]]. The navies and merchant marine of the southern Barathorner states, [[Amerzcelindo]], and [[Umbria]] are often found plying its waters.
