Obduspal Mountains
The Obduspal Mountains are a remote and wild region of mountains in northern Shahaz. They may be seen as a continuation of the Lohticarca Mountains and the Azalka-Thunjeen Mountains. They form the eastern boundary or barrier of the Chalcidian Wilds. The Jaházu Plains and the Jaházu Mountains are sometimes seen as part of the region. The climate of the Obduspal Mountains is dry with cold winters. The region is lawless with only wild beasts and transitory nomadic tribes. Its situation between the notorious Chalcidian Wilds and the Sea of Halamas makes it particularly remote and unvisited. The name is sometimes rendered 'Obdispal'.
The region is not well documented and is thought to contain earth treasures such as semi-precious and possibly precious gemstones. In ancient times, the nomadic skyfolk Liao Lüng made weirs and encampments on the slopes of the Obduspal Mountains.
